FEATURED ARTISTS

Although Galerie F is home to 500+ contemporary artists from all over the globe, we intimately nurture six artists through their original works, print releases and exhibitions every year. Each of these six talents brings a unique aesthetic and practice to our roster. We’re proud to present two local printmakers — one with an illustrative background and one with a design centric background — as well as two Chicago based muralists / street artists and two artists specializing in handcut stencils. Read more about each of our featured artists below, check out their entire collection with us and keep up with us for information on their upcoming shows and releases!

Andrew Ghrist is a Chicago based artist, illustrator, and printmaker. Ghrist’s work seems to consist of equal parts fantastic organic illustration of nature and graphic elements created by the printmaking process. The prints, and even more so Ghrist’s original drawings exhibit his dedication to craftsmanship and detail. This transforms the work into artifacts of countless hours spent diligently crouched over an image. Ghrist studied printmaking and received his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Epyon5 resides in Champaign Illinois. Originally trained in the fine art of Renaissance style realism, e5 has shifted his focus to the more immediate and gratifying medium of stencils, spray paint, and printmaking. Although his subject matter is familiar and contemporary, ranging from comic based icons to sci fi and horror, Epyon5 tries to infuse elements of classical design into his current works; thereby still retaining a feel of past grandeur and spectacle.

Jason Rowland is a self taught artist from Winona Lake, IN. Jason draws much of his inspiration from growing up in the late 80’s- early 90’s. Obsessing on comics, skateboarding, science fiction, and music. He enjoys spending his free time researching aliens and conspiracy theories.

Justin Van Genderen is a Chicago based freelance designer and owner/operator of the design studio 2046 Design. His poster designs are an expression of what he values - an attempt to share what he’s learning and celebrate what he loves. Wonder, truth and objectivity are some of the themes he covers. With the use of the scientific method his eyes were opened to the beauty, design, and simplicity of complex reality.

Mosher is a Chicago based street artist/muralist represented exclusively by Galerie F in beautiful Logan Square. Responsible for numerous murals around the city including locations such as Soho House, Big & Littles, Doejo, Intelligentsia, Threadless, and the Mega Mall. His trademark monkey character and vivid comic book like painting style are quickly becoming an iconic part of the burgeoning Chicago mural scene.

Joseph “Sentrock” Perez is an artist originally from Phoenix, AZ. He moved to Chicago to pursue a change in scenery and obtain an Bachelors of Art & Design at Columbia College. Perez is known for using bright colors, intense lettering and characters that grab the attention of viewer. A believer in the quote “Art cannot deny the environment that it is in”, Perez allows his surroundings of living in Chicago to influence his latest works.
